In recent years, we have been subjected to many comic-based movies from Batman to X-Men to Garfield, but none of these could possibly top the first release from Nick Pictures. The Pacific Defenders, based on the best-selling series of the same name from Nick Comics, deals with a Canadian government-sponsored super-hero team that spends most of its time getting out of strange predicaments. This movie captures the feel of the series and yet it remains interesting for non-comic fans, making it a definite winner.
