(laughter) (image pauses on "killern impaled by arrow) (zoom out on TV playing Final Exam to reveal to individuals watching) NICK No, no. Back it up a little. BILL Yeah NICK I think you can pinpoint the exact moment-- there! Its a dummy! Look! That is so cheap. BILL (sighs and ejects the tape) Crap. One more for the crap pile... (takes tape out of VCR, and tosses it upon the heap of videos, along side Return to Horror High, Creepshow, Grandma's House, Ghoulies III: Ghoulies go to College and Substitute 2099, you get the idea..) Why bother anymore? All these piece of shit movies, they have no fucking plot... I mean the killer is always the most likely person, or someone you've never seen before, so it makes no sense! Now if I was making a horror movie I'd.. NICK But, Bill, you already made a horror movie, remember? BILL Oh, yeah. Gore High. There's something for me to be proud of. NICK Well, that was my breakthrough role. BILL As a psychopath NICK Who was me. True. You must admit that it wasn't too bad for a movie with no budget, sets, or costumes to speak of and only three actors. BILL Ah, but I think it was the cheapness that made it effective. And the spontaneity. NICK Which you think was lacking in the sequel? BILL Wes Craven didn't have anything to do with A Nightmare on Elm Street 2. I should've done the same. Our sequel was too structured. NICK Yes, it had bizarre things like "plot" in it. BILL Who the hell wants plot? NICK It seemed like the good idea at the time. (looks at watch) You know, technically speaking, we probably ought to be working on that Writer's Craft ISU. BILL Right. I'll just peddle off some crap at the last minute. NICK And so the great Waddell work ethic once more rears its ugly head. BILL We can't all be geeks like you. NICK Ouch. But seriously, maybe the third time's the charm. BILL Eh? NICK Why don't we just make Gore High III?
